Electronics imports in October 2025 declined by 3.94% from US$ 3.09 billion in September 2025 to US$ 2.97 billion, which is 26.46% of the country’s US$ 11.22 billion total commodity imports.

The country’s electronics imports decreased by 3.94% from US$ 3.09 billion in September 2025 to US$ 2.97 billion in October 2025. See Fig. 1.
Six (6) electronics sectors declined, led by Communication/Radar at 68.00%, from US$ 413.87 million to US$ 132.44 million. This was followed by Consumer Electronics (42.63%), Automotive Electronics (28.52%), Medical/Industrial Instrumentation (21.60%), Electronic Data Processing (1.58%), and Control and Instrumentation (1.06%).
Office Equipment climbed by 54.00%, from US$ 16.01 million to US$ 24.66 million. It was followed by Telecommunication (12.12%), and Semiconductor Components/Devices (10.69%).
The electronics imports increased by 10.63%, from US$ 2.68 billion in October 2024 to US$ 2.97 billion in October 2025, as shown in Fig. 2.
Six (6) sectors grew, which was led by Office Equipment at 78.47%, from US$ 13.82 million to US$ 24.66 million, as shown in Table 2. It was followed by Semiconductor Components/Devices (20.61%), Control and Instrumentation (18.53%), and Electronic Data Processing (9.05%).
Meanwhile, five (5) sectors contracted, namely, Consumer Electronics (47.22%), Automotive Electronics (33.33%), Communication/Radar (24.34%), Telecommunication (18.85%), and Medical/Industrial Instrumentation (0.22%).

Cumulative electronics imports went up by 15.32%, from US$ 22.80 billion in 2024 to US$ 26.30 billion in 2025. These comprised 23.53% of the total Philippine commodity imports YTD (See Fig. 3).
Imports in all sectors increased, led by Communication/Radar at 21.62%, from US$ 1.21 billion to US$ 1.47 billion. It was followed by Semiconductor Components/Devices (17.59%), Electronic Data Processing (12.31%), Control and Instrumentation (12.19%), Medical/Industrial Instrumentation (11.11%), Automotive Electronics (4.83%), Consumer Electronics (3.37%), Office Equipment (3.31%), and Telecommunication (2.93%). COUNTRIES OF ORIGIN (OCTOBER 2025)
Table 1 shows that the top five (5) countries of origin of electronics imports in October 2025 were China (30.94%), Japan (11.19%), Taiwan (11.16%), South Korea (9.51%), and the USA (8.53%).

The rest of the top ten countries of origin were Singapore (7.51%), Malaysia (4.31%), Hong Kong (4.14%), Thailand (2.86%), and Germany (2.35%).

Fig. 4 shows the top imported electronics products in October 2025. Parts and accessories of data processing machines under Electronic Data Processing imported from Hong Kong rose by 53.88%. Meanwhile, Dice and wafers under Semiconductor Components/Devices imported from Germany decreased by 9.94%. See Table 4.
