PHILIPPINE ELECTRONICS EXPORT PERFORMANCE MARCH 2025

 
Electronics exports grew by 2.95% in March 2025 to US$ 3.96 billion, which is 60.09% of the US$ 6.59 billion total Philippine exports.
 

 A.  PH Electronics Exports: (Month-on-Month)

Electronics exports rose by 2.95% from US$ 3.85 billion in February 2025 to US$ 3.96 billion in March 2025, as shown in Fig. 1.

 

Exports in five (5) sectors increased as shown in Table 2. This was led by Control and Instrumentation at 20.50%, from US$ 77.77 million to US$ 93.71 million, followed by Communication/Radar (7.57%), Medical/Industrial Instrumentation (6.48%), Semiconductor Components/Devices (6.04%), and Consumer Electronics (1.35%).

 

Meanwhile, Office Equipment contracted by 21.92%, from US$ 44.87 million to US$ 35.04 million. It was followed by Automotive Electronics (15.42%), Electronic Data Processing (9.38%), and Telecommunication (6.41%).

B. PH Electronics Exports: (Year-on-Year)

The Philippine Electronics exports climbed by 1.93%, from US$ 3.89 billion in March 2024 to US$ 3.96 billion in March 2025, as shown in Fig. 2. 

 

Exports in seven (7) sectors improved, led by Automotive Electronics at 60.66%, from US$ 5.28 million to US$ 8.49 million. This was followed by Medical/Industrial Instrumentation (57.77%), Office Equipment (55.82%), Consumer Electronics (31.85%), Control and Instrumentation (19.75%), Telecommunication (18.86%), and Electronic Data Processing (10.26%). Kindly refer to Table 2.

 

Communication/Radar decreased the most by 5.88%, from US$ 49.59 million to US$ 46.67 million. It was followed by Semiconductor Components/Devices (3.82%).

C.  PH Electronics Exports (Year-to-Date)

Year-to-date electronics exports went up by 1.01%, from US$ 11.37 billion in 2024 to US$ 11.49 billion in 2025, which is equivalent to 59.61% of the total Philippine exports. Please see Fig. 3.

 

Exports from seven (7) sectors increased from last year’s YTD figures, led by Medical/Industrial Instrumentation at 65.53%, from US$ 93.99 million to US$ 155.57 million. It was followed by Office Equipment (54.47%), Automotive Electronics (50.71%), Consumer Electronics (41.90%), Control and Instrumentation (20.21%), Electronic Data Processing (12.80%), and Telecommunication (9.51%). Meanwhile, Communication/Radar declined by 12.31%, from US$ 154.89 million to US$ 135.81 million. This was followed by Semiconductor Components/Devices (4.88%).

COUNTRIES OF DESTINATION (MARCH 2025)

Table 1 shows the top five (5) export destinations in March 2025, namely, Hong Kong (20.09%), the USA (15.44%), China (9.54%), Japan (6.42%), and Singapore (6.05%).

The other destinations in the top ten were Taiwan (5.62%), Germany (5.12%), Thailand (3.77%), the Netherlands (3.72%), and Malaysia (3.10%).

The top exported electronics products in March 2025 are in Fig. 4. Integrated Circuits bound for Hong Kong climbed by 49.44%. Meanwhile, Integrated Circuits bound for the USA shrunk by 7.70%. See Table 4.
