Electronics exports grew by 13.56% in May 2025 to US$ 4.18 billion, which is 57.40% of the US$ 7.29 billion total Philippine exports.

Electronics exports increased by 13.56% from US$ 3.68 billion in April 2025 to US$ 4.18 billion in May 2025, as shown in Fig. 1.
Exports in four (4) sectors went up as shown in Table 2. It was led by Consumer Electronics at 39.39%, from US$ 75.51 million to US$ 105.25 million, followed by Electronic Data Processing (23.35%), Control and Instrumentation (21.66%), and Semiconductor Components/Devices (12.23%).
Meanwhile, Communication/Radar contracted by 30.92%, from US$ 36.34 million to US$ 25.10 million. This was followed by Medical/Industrial Instrumentation (20.37%), Automotive Electronics (9.96%), Telecommunication (9.72), and Office Equipment (2.46%).
The Philippine Electronics exports rose by 8.50%, from US$ 3.86 billion in May 2024 to US$ 4.18 billion in May 2025, as shown in Fig. 2.
Exports in eight (8) sectors improved, led by Automotive Electronics at 55.85%, from US$ 4.90 million to US$ 7.63 million. It was followed by Office Equipment (28.90%), Control and Instrumentation (27.85%), Electronic Data Processing (23.30%), Telecommunication (22.69%), Medical/Industrial Instrumentation (20.95%), Consumer Electronics (13.11%), and Semiconductor Components/Devices (4.96%). Meanwhile, Communication/Radar decreased by 49.48%, from US$ 49.68 million to US$ 25.10 million.

Year-to-date electronics exports climbed by 1.44%, from US$ 19.08 billion in 2024 to US$ 19.36 billion in 2025, which is equivalent to 56.60% of the total Philippine exports. Please see Fig. 3.
Exports from seven (7) sectors increased from last year’s YTD figures, led by Automotive Electronics at 56.31%, from US$ 26.63 million to US$ 46.63 million. This was followed by Medical/Industrial Instrumentation (53.94%), Office Equipment (44.84%), Consumer Electronics (23.65%), Control and Instrumentation (16.55%), Electronic Data Processing (13.10%), and Telecommunication (10.17%). Meanwhile, Communication/Radar shrunk the most by 20.07%, from US$ 246.78 million to US$ 197.25 million. It was followed by Semiconductor Components/Devices (3.27%).
COUNTRIES OF DESTINATION (MAY 2025)
Table 1 shows the top five (5) export destinations in May 2025, namely, Hong Kong (21.66%), the USA (14.40%), China (8.57%), Singapore (6.34%), and Japan (6.27%).

The other destinations in the top ten were Germany (5.67%), Taiwan (5.62%), Thailand (4.41%), the Netherlands (3.66%), and Malaysia (2.88%).
